50 Cent was making numerous waves working with STARZ over the last few years. His series like ‘Power’ and ‘BMF’ have permeated pop culture while the rapper-turned-show runner created a new television universe. Among the next steps for 50 was creating a series inspired by real-life events surrounding Snoop Dogg’s murder case. The show was set to be called ‘Murder Was The Case.’ However, 50 revealed the show might no longer be in production in a now-deleted Instagram post.
The show was set to focus on Snoop’s 1993 trial for allegedly being involved in the murder of rival gang member Phillip Woldermariam. Eventually, Snoop was acquitted after his bodyguard McKinley Lee noted he shielded Snoop from Woldermariam and fired the shots that took the man’s life.
Via Instagram, 50 said, “Murder was the case is no longer in production at STARZ. I give them the alley-oop, they drop the damn ball. Anyway, I hope snoop tell his story.” Take a look at 50’s post above.
