Previously, Megan Thee Stallion seemingly threw shade at Tory Lanez during an appearance she made at Coachella. Now, Meg has finally sat down for an exclusive interview with Gayle King of CBS Mornings to address the 2020 shooting allegedly involving Tory Lanez.
While speaking about the incident to King, Megan went on to say, “It was an argument because I was ready to go, and everybody else wasn’t ready to go. "But that’s like normal friend stuff, we fuss about silly stuff all the time.” The rapper continued saying, “I never put my hands on anybody, I never raised my voice too loud, like this was one of them times where it’s like it shouldn’t have got this crazy.”
Megan then detailed what Tory Lanez told her ahead of allegedly being shot by the Canadian artist. “Everything just happened so fast, All I hear this man screaming is, 'dance, bitch,' and he starts shooting, and I’m just like ‘oh my God…’ like he shot a couple of times.” She then said she “didn't want to move too [quickly],” telling King, “I was really scared because I had never been shot at before.”
As of now, Tory Lanez has pleaded not guilty to an assault charge related to the alleged shooting. The full interview between Megan Thee Stallion and Gayle King is set to air on April 25, 2022. Take a look at the clip above.
