Previously, Jorge Masvidal pleaded not guilty to two felony charges after allegedly getting into a brawl with Colby Covington. The incident went down between the two fighters at a Miami restaurant and found Masvidal being arrested for aggravated battery with a mask and criminal mischief. Now, Covington has made claims about the incident with Masvidal, saying he was left with more permanent effects due to their squabble.

While in court, Masvidal was ordered to stay away from Covington by a judge. A Miami-Dade County judge issued the order on Thursday morning. Masvidal’s lawyer—Bradford Cohen, said his client and Covington appeared at a Zoom hearing where Masvidal was barred from going within 25 feet of Covington. Cohen made it known Masvidal had no objections, with the lawyers saying they “understand [Colby] is scared of Masvidal.”

New court documents that surfaced found Covington claiming he suffered a “brain injury” due to the fight that went down in Miami. Covington said the alleged blows from Masvidal “knowingly or intentionally” caused “great bodily harm.”

The hearing also found Masvidal formally pleading not guilty to charges of attacking Colby Covington outside a Miami restaurant on March 21. Stay tuned for more updates.
