Update 04/30/2022 12:24pm:

Previously, Kim Kardashian was grilled by Blac Chyna’s lawyers while on the stand in Chyna’s case against the Kardashian-Jenner family. Now it appears Kim Kardashian has won a portion of the case.

Reports noted the judge on Chyna’s case tossed out the defamation claim against Kim, saying Kim made no defamatory statements against Blac Chyna. Blac Chyna’s lawyer previously argued that even if Kim didn’t say direct things about Chyna, she co-signed libelous and slanderous statements about the model allegedly made by other Kardashian family members.

The judge shut down the claims, saying there’s no evidence Kim K had a “responsible part” in the statements Chyna was suing for. Blac Chyna was reportedly asking for $40 million for the defamation claim. Stay tuned for more updates.

Kim Kardashian took the stand in court on Tuesday (April 26), where she was grilled by Blac Chyna's lawyer, Lynne Ciani, in the model's case against the Kardashian-Jenners.

Ciani asked Kim about texts she sent to producers of Keeping Up with the Kardashians following Rob and Chyna's fight in December 2016. In one of the texts, Kim wrote, "Chyna will not be on our show. And it’s actually putting my brother in bad position because he ends up crying all day saying the only reason she [Chyna] showed up was because she was filming."

Ciani then asked Kim if the texts were an attempt to get the reality show Rob & Chyna canceled, to which she responded, "I can’t control the content of what they film, but this is our show — why would we film with her? I really don’t know what they were filming [for ‘Rob & Chyna’] beyond when the fight happened. Clearly something happened."

Text messages from the following month were then addressed, where Kim asked if Chyna was getting paid for appearing on the Kardashian's reality show. When Ciani asked if Kim was protesting being on the show with Chyna, Kardashian shot back, "They could film what they want. … We don’t have the power, as you have been insinuating. I was just expressing that I will be taking a break from filming to assess how I’m feeling. I will not go into work in a toxic environment. I can only control what I can do, which is to take a break."

Kim then detailed seeing her brother Rob "so upset" following the altercation with Chyna, and she added, "I remember only just trying to be supportive of my brother. I remember him being super emotional. It’s all such a blur."

Khloé Kardashian also took the stand, where she was asked about sending an email to KUTK producers about the entire Kardashian-Jenner family taking a break from their show if Rob and Chyna's show continued. Khloé denied having any control over Blac Chyna's talent agreement, and she adamantly stated that she was never trying to get Rob and Chyna's show canceled.
