Update 05/02/2022 3:04pm:

The alleged attack that found Jorge Masvidal punching Colby Covington in the head outside of a Miami restaurant has produced more messed-up results for Covington, as photos of the man’s teeth following the incident have surfaced.

Covington claimed Masvidal attacked him on March 21, and now photos have surfaced from the incident showing the marks left from the alleged scuffle. The images reportedly were included as exhibits in documents filed by attorneys for Masvidal, according to TMZ.

One photo shows Covington’s front left tooth, which is fractured. The other images show marks left on the right side of Covington’s face. Masvidal’s lawyer Bradford Cohen said, “Interestingly, the images do not demonstrate an injury aside from a small chip in [Covington's] fake tooth.” As of now, Cohen is asking the judge to order Covington to take independent medical exams so the extent of the alleged “brain injury” the fighter claims he suffered at the hands of Masvidal can be further inspected.

As of now, Masvidal is facing two felony charges related to the alleged attack. The fighter has pleaded not guilty.

Previously, Jorge Masvidal pleaded not guilty to two felony charges after allegedly getting into a brawl with Colby Covington. The incident went down between the two fighters at a Miami restaurant and found Masvidal being arrested for aggravated battery with a mask and criminal mischief. Now, Covington has made claims about the incident with Masvidal, saying he was left with more permanent effects due to their altercation.

While in court, Masvidal was ordered to stay away from Covington by a judge. A Miami-Dade County judge issued the order on Thursday morning. Masvidal’s lawyer—Bradford Cohen, said his client and Covington appeared at a Zoom hearing where Masvidal was barred from going within 25 feet of Covington. Cohen made it known Masvidal had no objections, with the lawyers saying they “understand [Colby] is scared of Masvidal.”

New court documents found Covington claiming he suffered a “brain injury” due to the fight that went down in Miami. Covington said the alleged blows from Masvidal “knowingly or intentionally” caused “great bodily harm.”

The hearing also found Masvidal formally pleading not guilty to charges of attacking Colby Covington outside a Miami restaurant on March 21. Stay tuned for more updates.
