Previously, the First Lady of Death Row Records— Jewell, passed away. The news was confirmed by Reggie Wright Jr., who said the singer passed away in an Idaho hospital with her family by her bedside. An interview from the Art of Dialogue shows the exact moment Jewell revealed to her close family that she was dealing with an ongoing health battle that gave her six months to live. 

The singer went on to say she sped up the process of her album due to the diagnosis by the doctor. She noted she wanted to change the narrative of her upcoming record so that her grandchildren could be proud of her body of work. 

As she teared up, Jewell noted the interviewer would have some of the most iconic interview footage ahead of the documentary about her life she had planned on releasing. The singer then spoke about when she actually passed away in a Walmart but was brought back to life, saying she held on to the story until now to appear as the “strong one” among her family. 

Jewell was candid about the number of artists who have been losing their lives due to health issues and said she created a Facebook page specifically dedicated to helping artists navigate dealing with their health ailments. Take a look above.
