Of all the members from the original Hot Boyz lineup, Turk is probably the least known, largely because he spent the majority of what could have been his prime, behind bars for various felonies. Nevertheless, the name of the former Cash Money signee still rings bells throughout the hip-hop community. But now it appears as though the 41-year-old New Orleans native is looking to make waves in a courtroom, rather than a recording studio.

According to reports, Turk may be gearing up to take fellow rapper, French Montana, to court over a copyright issue regarding the lyrics to an original composition by the Hot Boyz called "I Need a Hot Girl." Turk is alleging that French Montana plagiarised the words from the 1999 hit song without his former group's permission, therefore his lawyers have already sent out a demand letter. However, sources close to French Montana have indicated that he purchased the beat and received clearance to sample the lyrics before he released "Handstand" featuring Doja Cat.

Either way, Turk's attorney, Paul M. Aloise Jr., has made it abundantly clear that his client is willing to take this matter in front of a judge if they fail to agree upon a settlement with French Montana beforehand.
