DaniLeigh sat down with Angie Martinez for her first full-length interview since her very public blow-up with her daughter’s father, DaBaby, on Instagram Live. She addressed the incident with Angie, and around the 4-minute mark, DaniLeigh stated that "It was very triggering, and very sad." She explained that it was a bad time between her and DaBaby, and DaniLeigh admitted that she had left DaBaby before the Instagram incident. She then added, "I wish it didn't happen because I don't want my baby to see that later on in life. But she'll grow to be her own person and to be able to take things in."
DaniLeigh also opened up about her relationship with DaBaby, stating, "Me and Baby had … been together for about like, three years on and off. It was toxic. You know, we had our really good times." She went on to state that "We broke up a lot. There was a lot of on and offs. During that time, I definitely wasn’t his side piece."
DaniLeigh went on to state that DaBaby hasn't apologized for the IG Live incident, adding that DaBaby was "very selfish" by putting that situation out in the public right after she gave birth. She also stated that it's been challenging to co-parent with DaBaby, but she's hopeful that they'll get to a place of friendship in the future.
