In this clip, Reggie Wright Sr. talked about how high-profile rap beefs in Compton such as DJ Quik and MC Eiht didn’t make it on his radar because they were “studio gangsters.” However, he did discuss the activities of the “real gangsters” at the time. For instance, Reggie Sr. recounted the Trayvon Lane incident at the Lakewood mall where he was jumped and supposedly had his chain snatched by Southside Crips who were pursuing a bounty allegedly placed on the Death Row Records chain by Puff Daddy.
