It was announced that Samuels, whose controversial dating advice catapulted him into the limelight, died on Thursday, May 5. The Atlanta police said he was found unresponsive on the floor of his apartment.
Ortencia Alcantara, a woman who was with Samuels at his home at the time of his death, called 911 after Samuels complained of chest pains and fell on top of her. Fire department officials administered CPR on Kevin after arriving to his home, and he was transferred to Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
