Last week, Fani Willis floated a compelling theory about the RICO charges facing Young Thug and his YSL group. The first woman to hold the office of District Attorney in Fulton County revealed that she believed that the suspects in question were likely involved in nearly 50 murders that are directly related to their case. In a recent interview with an Atlanta news station called WSB-TV, the Georgia native cited the 2015 murder of YFN affiliate Donavan Thomas as the main point of reference in her thinking, mainly because of the number of gruesome crimes that followed.

“[Thomas's murder] occurred back in 2015,” Willis said. “And what myself and any law enforcement member can tell you as a result of that the back-and-forth gun violence and murders that have occurred, have probably been in excess of 50 since 2015—triggered by that in the back-and-forth between that [YSL] gang and other gangs.”

The fatal incident that Willis highlighted during her interview, took place outside of a barbershop in Atlanta. According to reports, Young Thug has been accused of renting the Infiniti Q50 sedan that was used to carry about the deadly shooting.
