An arrest was made in a shooting in Norfolk, Virginia that left two people injured and three others dead on March 19.

Antoine M. Legrande Jr., 24, was arrested in connection with the incident, which took place around 1:30 am, as people were leaving a bar. Around that time, a fight broke out over a spilled drink, which resulted in gunfire. Among those killed in the incident was Sierra Jenkins, a 25-year-old reporter who wrote for the Pilot and the Daily Press. Jenkins was caught in the crossfire, and she was transported to a local hospital where she later died. Other victims include Marquel Andrews and Devon "Malik" Harris.

Maurice Jenkins, the father of Sierra Jenkins, spoke about Legrande's arrest, stating, "For our family, going through what we're going through — two months without knowing who's behind something like this is — it's eating us up. I don't believe that's really what this is about. I won't be surprised if we start hearing that there's a lot more to what caused this to happen than a spilled drink."

Legrande Jr. has been charged five counts of use of a firearm, two counts of malicious wounding, and three counts of second-degree murder. He’s being held without bond.
