Recently, news surfaced noting a Texas inmate named Gonzalo Lopez crashed a prison transfer bus, and ran off into the woods to escape. Following the escape, the police conducted a three-week manhunt that resulted in the man being killed by cops this past Thursday. Now, footage has surfaced of the 46-year-old inmate escaping the prisoner bus.
Lopez was able to escape from the prisoner bus on May 12, after it crashed. Police caught up to Lopez in Jourdanton, Texas after he reportedly murdered a family of five and took their pickup truck to continue his escape.
The convicted murderer was caught on camera by a woman who was driving with her son while in Leon County, Texas. In the footage, the woman ran across the crash site, with her son saying “Yo, we saw the inmate! What the heck?” Take a look above.
