The 10-year-old girl who pulled the trigger in the fatal shooting of Florida resident Lashun Rodgers is being charged with murder. According to authorities, the child was charged with second-degree murder on Tuesday and was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center without incident.

According to reports, a 10-year-old Florida girl fatally shot a woman her mother was fighting on Memorial Day. 

The girl and her mother, Lakrisha Isaac, 31, were arrested for the fatal shooting of Lashun Rodgers, 41, outside of their apartment complex on Monday night. Witnesses say that Rodgers was grilling outside of her apartment around 11:45PM when Isaac approached her in a drunken state and allegedly slapped her. A fight broke out just before Isaac handed a bag to her daughter containing the firearm. 

The girl subsequently pulled out the loaded weapon and fired two rounds, striking Rodgers. She was later pronounced dead after being rushed to the hospital. 

Isaac was arrested on charges of manslaughter by culpable negligence, child neglect, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and aggravated assault with a firearm. Isaac's daughter was released into the custody of the Florida Department of Children and Families.
