Fulton County District Attorney Fani WIllis has become a polarizing figure overnight. After news broke about the YSL RICO case and severity of the charges facing Young Thug, Gunna, and their associates, Willis was the person who received everyone's ire who was against the indictment.

Since then, Willis has begun receiving threats from people she believes are YSL fans and not anyone associated with the crew.

“We don’t believe that these threats were directed by anyone that is in the YSL indictment,” Willis said. “I would say that (threats are coming from) people that are very sympathetic, maybe admirers of YSL and people who are connected with them in some sense.”

In addition to the YSL case, Willis is also investigating events connected with the presidential election and former President Donald Trump. As a result of her work on gangs in Fulton County or potential election crimes or worse, Willis is tightening up her own security.

“Oh, it is definitely a significant driver of the heightened security,” Willis said. “People are angry about that investigation. People are angry about investigations into gangs, so each of those things plays a factor.”
