The YSL RICO case that has found Young Thug, Gunna, and many other affiliates of YSL locked up has sent a ripple effect through the music industry. Many other rappers have been facing an influx of legal troubles, like DDG being arrested on felony gun charges. Other rappers like Yella Beezy were arrested over a previous sexual assault case and held on a $1 million bond. Now, it appears Roddy Ricch has faced some issues resulting in arrest, which came ahead of his Governor’s Ball festival set in New York City.
The rapper was reportedly stopped at a security checkpoint for Governor’s Ball, which went down in Queens, New York. Officers allegedly found a loaded gun in the vehicle the rapper was taking to the show. Police claim there was nine round of ammunition along with a large-capacity magazine.
As a result, Roddy and two other people in the vehicle were arrested. The rapper was charged with possessing a large capacity ammo-feeding device, unlawful possession, and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon. Governor’s Ball made a statement addressing Roddy’s arrest, taking to Twitter to say, “Unfortunately, Roddy Ricch is no longer performing today.” Stay tuned for more updates.
