It wasn't long ago that the Curry family and the Pinkett-Smith family were widely considered ideal models for how famous nuclear households should look within the framework of the African American community. Needless to say, things have changed rather drastically. Will Smith has slapped his way out of the hearts of millions of people all over the world and Steph Curry's parents are no longer together.

While Will Smith's actions were far more shocking, the notion of not seeing Dell and Sonya Curry sitting together during a litany of Golden State Warriors games, deep into the NBA post-season, might be a little bit more unsettling to the eye. After all, for the better part of the past decade, whenever Steph Curry would drain a no-look three-point shot and shimmy his way back to the opposite side of the basketball court, the live camera would often cut to the reaction of his enthusiastic parents sitting in the stands.

Dell and Sonya Curry made their divorce official last June after both parties accused the other of being unfaithful. Therefore, the 2022 NBA Finals matchup between the Boston Celtics and the Golden State Warriors marks the first time that their oldest son has appeared in a championship series of any kind where they weren't a couple.

As if that wasn't enough, Dell Curry was spotted at Game Four of this year's NBA Finals series with his new girlfriend in tow. Apparently, she was a friend of the Curry family while they were married. But the plot thickens. Not to be outdone by her ex-husband, Sonya Curry was also spotted at the very same game and she was with her new man, who according to reports is the ex-husband of Dell Curry's date that night.

Amazingly enough, this uncanny "love square" didn't seem to have an impact on Steph Curry's play on the court, as he led both teams in scoring with 43 points, en route to a 107-97 victory, in favor of the Golden State Warriors. Nevertheless, when photos emerged of Steph in separate photos with each of his parents and their new lover, immediately following the game, the Twitterverse showered the Curry family with jokes and rumors about infidelity, interracial dating, and the prospect of them being sexual "swingers."
