With a net worth of over $120 billion, Bill Gates is the second richest man in America. The co-founder of Microsoft has so much influence over the happenings of everyday people, both politically and from a technological standpoint, that the actions of his intermediate family members often occur "under the radar." But lately, his youngest daughter, Phoebe Gates, has emerged from the shadows of her father's grandness with some rather impactful statements of her own. Two weeks ago, the 19-year-old publically displayed her opposition to the "Roe v Wade" ruling by posting a full-body photo of herself on Instagram while sporting a white bikini. She posted the image along with a supporting caption.
“I’m not shy about my body and/or telling you to keep your bans off of it,” Phoebe wrote. “Every person deserves access to sexual and reproductive health care. Right now, the Supreme Court is prepared to end the constitutional right to abortion. Join me and millions of other women in our fight for this basic human right. @PlannedParenthood #BansOffOurBodies.”
As powerful as this message is, it appears as though Phoebe just made another social statement to the world, inadvertently. A photo of her rumored-to-be boyfriend kissing her on the cheek has slowly begun to make its rounds on social media. The nature of the photo hasn't caused anyone to bat an eye, but the subject in the image has because it seems as if she has chosen to date a Black man. The notion of interracial dating should not be a problem for anyone in the year 2022, as everyone should be free to pursue a relationship with a potential love interest of their choosing, as long as the feelings are reciprocated. Nevertheless, this photo has already begun to spark debates about interracial dating and inter-class dating (even though the extent of his wealth is currently unknown to the public).
