In this clip, actor/producer Amin Joseph talks about how the experience of being involved in films such as "Call Me King" and "DOPE" has changed his approach to character development as a producer. From there the 42-year-old explains that his role in the film "DOPE" gave him such clarity that he stopped questioning his interpretation of characters upon reading a script.

He also revisits the debut season of "Snowfall" on FX. Joseph reveals just how nervous the cast members were about whether or not the show would find a consistent following or not before the legendary John Singleton advised them to be patient about the process and assured them that their show would be accepted and appreciated by viewers. That being said, the 42-year-old actor then shares that despite Singleton's comforting words, many of the cast members still believed that the series would be canceled after season 2 before he learned that his former boss was right all along. From there, Joseph talks about the importance of having executive producers and showrunners at FX who believed in their project and were patient enough to let their viewership numbers develop over time. As the conversation comes to an end, Shirley Ju informs Joseph that "Snowfall" is DJ Vlad's favorite TV show.
