From there, the Los Angeles native revisits being birthed by parents who were both drug addicts before sharing what motivated him to escape poverty during his adolescence. The "Snowfall" actor then talks about moving to Compton to live with his father and learning how to hustle by selling candy on the streets as a teenager and making about $100 per week. He even shares his sales pitch with Shirley while looking into the camera. Moving along, Bonds talks about how selling candy led to a chance encounter with the woman who would become his first agent as an actor.
