Update 07/09/2022 12:37pm:
Kay Flock was arrested last year for the alleged murder of a man in New York City. Despite being locked up, the rapper has dropped a song with Cardi B and more. Since then, Flock has given an update on his situation via his lawyer Jeffrey Lichtman, the same lawyer who represents El Chapo.
Lichtman recently revealed new details surrounding the alleged murder Flock was involved in. The lawyer says Flock’s involvement in the shooting was “self-defense” and the rapper had no other options. Along with that, the lawyer says there is video evidence to corroborate this claim. The video footage shows Flock “wanted nothing to do with the guy,” and that “[Flock] waves him off.”
The lawyer continued saying “He’s walking with a young woman and as shown in the video the guy is walking towards him in a very aggressive manner. He puts his hands in his pockets and Kevin is alleged to have seen the guy walking towards him aggressively with his hands in his pocket.” Via another interview, Lichtman noted he is going to “fight to the death” for his client.

Original 03/18/2022 3:38pm:
Rapper Kay Flock is currently fighting murder charges for the slaying of 24-year-old Oscar Hernandez, which occurred on December 16, 2021. Surveillance cameras reportedly captured the 18-year-old Drill rapper from New York shooting the victim although the footage is not conclusive and the NYPD reportedly received an anonymous tip that indicated someone other than Kay Flock was the true assailant.
With his freedom hanging in the balance, Kay Flock has enlisted the help of one of the most notorious defense attorneys in Jeffrey Lichtman. Two days ago, the lawyer who represented infamous gangsters like El Chapo and John Gotti took to Instagram to announce his allegiance to the "Is Ya Ready" rapper.
"Very happy and honored to be representing [Kay Flock] on the most serious of cases," Lichtman wrote. "A very talented kid, I'm looking forward to winning his trial. When the facts come out I think people will be shocked he was even charged."
If Lichtman hopes to get his new client released from Rikers, he may have to act fast because it was reported last month that Kay Flock aka Kevin Perez was attacked by a rival gang and immediately sent to the facility's intensive care unit.
