Months later, Will Smith slapping Chris Rock while at the Oscars is still a topic being discussed, with many being asked what they would have done if they were in Rock’s shoes. Along with that, many have discussed the repercussions of Smith’s actions. Netflix reportedly scrapped its plans to move forward with the sequel to ‘Bright 2,’ a film starring Smith, and it was believed that another installment of ‘Bad Boys’ was at risk. However, Sony chairman Tom Rothman said that wasn’t the case. Now, Martin Lawrence has seemingly addressed ‘Bad Boys’ moving forward during a recent interview with Ebony Magazine.

Lawrence talked about the impact the ‘Bad Boys’ series made and talked about his life since starring in the 1995 film. “It was big. For us to come together and prove that we can deliver, and we can pull people into the box office—that two Black stars, two sitcom stars, could make money at the box office [was huge]... I didn’t go to college, so I felt TV was my college years. I felt with movies, I had graduated; it was just different.”

The actor and comedian was asked about the speculation surrounding the fourth film in the ‘Bad Boys’ series and if it would be canceled due to Smith slapping Rock. Lawrence went on to say, “We got at least one more.” Stay tuned for more updates.
