In this clip, De'Aundre Bonds opened up to Shirley Ju about John Singleton wanting him for the role of "Skully" on "Snowfall" but not knowing how to get in touch with him. De'Aundre explained that he ran into someone that knew John, who let him know about Singleton wanting to speak with him. After getting the role, which is based on someone Singleton actually knew, De'Aundre spoke about how the role has put him back in the spotlight in a big way, which led him to speak about his role as Stacey in "The Wood."
