According to reports, sports icon and Jackson State head football coach Deion Sanders is looking to help the university upgrade its training facilities to entice more recruits to choose the HBCU.

To ensure that the new facility is built, Sanders has elected to donate half of his salary (Sanders signed a four-year deal worth an average of $300,000 per year in 2020) to the school to renovate the facility by an August 4 target date.

"I'll put half on it to get this done," Sanders said in an announcement on Instagram. "If you don't believe me, check me. I will send you the receipts."
