Update 07/23/2022 12:26pm:

Earlier this year, Master P revealed that his family suffered the loss of his daughter Tytyana Miller, at the age of 29. It was later revealed that Tytyana’s cause of death was due to an accidental overdose. Since then, Master P has appeared on ‘CBS Mornings’ with Gayle King to speak about the tragic loss. Along with that, the mogul explained how he is now dedicated to helping families who are in the same space he’s in.

While speaking to King, Master P addressed his daughter’s addiction after speaking about the loss. “It's hard. Coming from poverty, you would think that you would outlive your kids, and that was the mission. I feel like, going to my daughter's funeral, I went to my own funeral,” said the mogul. Miller then noted he thought Tytyana was “getting better” following leaving rehab.

Via Instagram, Master P showed footage speaking about the loss of his daughter at a concert. In the caption of his post, Master P went on to say, “I always been my daughter's parachute, now she's my parachute in the sky. No more grieving, it's time to celebrate her and help millions of people dealing with mental illness and substance abuse. #WeAllWeGot #godisgood.” Take a look above.

Master P took to Instagram on Sunday (May 29) night to reveal the heartbreaking news of his daughter, 29-year-old Tytyana, passing away.

The famed entertainer and mogul wrote, "Our family is dealing with an overwhelming grief for the loss of my daughter Tytyana. We respectfully request some privacy so that our family can grieve. We appreciate all of the prayers love and support. Mental illness & substance abuse is a real issue that we can’t be afraid to talk about. With God, we will get through this. #MyAngel."

Master P's mention of substance abuse led to a 2016 scene from "Growing Up Hip Hop," where Tytyana's brother Romeo and her father urged her to seek treatment in rehab. In the clip, Tytyana told her father, "I feel like I don’t need to go to rehab – I feel like I could actually do good without rehab." Master P then replied, "I mean you say that TyTy but on the serious side, I think we should get some professional help just to make sure you stay on track."

According to TMZ, first responders arrived at a home in the San Fernando Valley around 2:30 am. Tytyana was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene, and she was not taken to a hospital.
