Earlier this year, it was reported that a murder suspect in the Young Dolph shooting was still on the run. Many have been mourning the loss of the rapper, especially those from his hometown of Memphis. However, some have decided to literally deface his memory.
Footage that surfaced via ABC24 showed two men running up to a mural of the rapper crafted in South Memphis, seemingly using paint to vandalize the art. FOX13 Memphis noted the family of Dolph commissioned the mural along with the Ida Mae Foundation at the King of Discounts Mini Mart.
The artist who created the mural—Cameron Hill, addressed the art being defaced via Instagram. He went on to say “SMH. Money has been spent on the project from the foundation and everything just to have a group of hating individuals come and destroy what I was working on.” Take a look above.
