Update 07/24/2022 12:54pm:

The New Orleans Saints’ Alvin Kamara ran into a bit of trouble when the running back was arrested for alleged battery charges in Las Vegas. Details of the case were unknown at the time, but a victim claimed they were battered while at a Las Vegas nightclub early in the day. Kamara was named as a suspect. Now, reports surfaced noting the NFL is still monitoring Kamara for the alleged incident that went down during Pro Bowl weekend.

Police say they have footage of Kamara trying to stop a man from entering an elevator by putting his hands on the man’s chest while at Drai’s nightclub. The men reportedly tried to press forward, which caused Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Chris Lammons to alleged punch a man.

Defendants in the situation are accused of stomping the man out, which left him with injuries to the arms, knees, and head, along with facial fractures. The NFL is reportedly mulling over a suspension for Kamara, and he could also get put on a paid leave via the commissioner’s exempt list. Kamara is scheduled to appear in court on August 1. However, the court date has been pushed, so attorneys have more time to review the prosecution’s evidence.
