Twenty-five years ago, Diddy and Mase were perhaps the hottest in the entire music industry. Together, Diddy and his former protege were featured on three of the biggest hit singles of 1997: "Mo Money, Mo Problems," Can't Nobody Hold Me Down," and "Been Around the World." Shortly after the release of P. Diddy's "No Way Out" Album, Mase dropped his first solo effort, "Harlem World." Both projects went platinum in the US, selling well over 4 million copies each. The partnership between Diddy and Mase seemed destined for legendary status early on, but it would soon be derailed by Mase's abrupt retirement to pursue a career as a pastor. Since then, the friendship and business relationship between Diddy and Mase has seen its fair share of accusations, name-calling, finger-pointing, brief reunions, and legal predicaments. Things intensified between the two rappers when Mase alleged that Diddy screwed him over shortly after the latter delivered a Grammy speech back in 2020. Nevertheless, despite his previous high-profile disputes with 2Pac, Suge Knight and The Lox, Diddy has continued to take the high road. The 52-year-old rap mogul recently took to Instagram to toast some of his friends and collaborators, including Mase, with a video, but his Mom interrupted the message as soon as Mase's name was mentioned.

"Shout out to the LOX, Mase, Biggie, Busta," Diddy said, as he appeared to be lounging at an outdoor eatery, with his Mom, as 'It's All About The Benjamins' could be heard playing in the background.

"Mase?" Said Janice Combs.

"I’m talking about everybody that’s on the... my mom said, 'Mase?' Laughed Diddy. "Yeah we still love Mase, always gonna be love.

"Don't mess with my son," responded Janice Combs as the camera panned towards her for a brief moment.
