In this clip, Shaggy talks about the events leading up to the making of "Go Down Deh" with dancehall singer Spice before detailing how Sean Paul became a part of the project as well. From there, the Grammy Award-winning songwriter talks about being a mentor to Spice, getting her out of a bad record deal, producing her entire album, and watching her become the first female hardcore dancehall artist to be nominated for a Grammy. As the discussion moves along, Shaggy talks about the recent release of his hit single, "Mi Nuh Know."
Moving along, the legendary reggae singer shares his love for Dr. Dre's classic album "The Chronic" and an LP by Bob Marley called "Kaya." Lastly, the 53-year-old record artist reflects back on his friendship with the late James Brown and reveals why he looked up to him so much. Shaggy also looks back on performing at the Queen of England's 92nd birthday party with his dear friend, Sting. He said the moment was extra special for him because he was one of the first Caribbean recording artists to ever be invited to perform for her. From there, the legendary reggae musician talks about the pride that he has in representing his culture before sharing some details about his upcoming album release called "Shaggy Sings Sinatra," which was produced by Sting. Lastly, the Grammy Award-winning singer declares his love for Miami by listing off some of the benefits of living in the coastal city of Florida.
