Nude beaches have been a staple of French culture since the 1950s, while that notion has garnered a plethora of stereotypes and jokes about the carefree living experience in France, the unwritten guidelines that belong to the community are something that they take very seriously; especially when it comes to upholding a standard of moral conduct. On Saturday morning, a 46-year-old man was fatally gunned down at the La Mama nude beach, located on the Grand Parc de Miribel-Jonage (about 460km from Paris), for allegedly masturbating while gazing upon a naked woman who had been sunbathing right in front of him.
The incident occurred around 10:30 am when a frequent beachgoer in his late 70s approached the 46-year-old perpetrator about pleasuring himself in such a brazen manner in front of hundreds of people. The confrontation soon became a heated argument when the 46-year-old perpetrator refused to take his perverse actions elsewhere. Therefore, the 76-year-old man pulled out his firearm and unloaded a series of shots at the 46-year-old man, hitting him in the chest multiple times. Once local authorities arrived, they arrested the 76-year-old gunman while also attempting to provide the wounded perpetrator with medical attention. Unfortunately, the 46-year-old man did not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police in France are still investigating this matter.
