In this clip, Afro-pop/R&B singer Joeboy tells Shirley Ju the story about how became acquainted with one of his biggest inspirations, Mr. Eazi from EmPawa Africa records. The Nigerian-born singer goes on to explain that Mr. Eazi DM'd him an offer to make music shortly after introducing himself. As the conversation moves along, the 25-year-old then talks about being offered a choice between accepting $5,000 from Mr. Eazi or having him produce and promote his music video for "Faaji." Joeboy also detailed the making of his smash hit “Baby” and said the time he wrote and recorded “Baby” was a down period for him as he was unsure if the music was going to work. He also revealed that there were a handful of artists who had an opportunity to secure the beat that eventually became “Baby,” but they all rejected it.
