Instagram has made changes to its platform, with some of the changes causing figures like Kim Kardashian to speak on them, noting she wasn’t in support of the shifts. As a result, Instagram rolled back its TikTok-like changes. Now, Meek Mill has addressed the changes the platform has made, speaking on the muted reach of his posts, along with a possible shadowban.
Via Twitter, the Philadelphia artist said, “Who do we pay to turn our social medias back up because they turned our reach all the way down … I need a Instagram rep or something asap.” Meek didn’t stop there, as he pointed out that social media platforms he frequents, like Instagram and Twitter, exert more control over the exposure of his posts than they let on. “Been on these apps 10 years 7 days a week … you can tell they being controlled. I could post 10 phones with different account won’t see my post until the next day what is that? And it’s on all my homies pages too?” said the rapper.
Artists like Boosie have expressed their frustrations with Instagram for similar sentiments, with Boosie getting banned from Instagram last month.
