Tip recently took to social media where he confirmed his involvement in an altercation with Andrew "Drew" Taggart of The Chainsmokers after Taggart kissed the Atlanta legend on the cheek which wasn't to his delight. 

“Love The Chainsmokers, they make great music, you know,” T.I. said. “It’s really not much more to the story that you’ve already heard.” He added, “I think the most important thing to take away is afterward, we had a drink, we took a shot, and we moved on, you know? Loving the party, having a good time.”

If there's one thing we've learned about Atlanta rap legend T.I. this year, it's that he likes to make jokes, on and off stage, but in the event that the playfulness goes too far, he's quick to let you know about it. Back in February, the rapper turned comedian emerged from the crowd and snatched the microphone from a performer during her stand-up comedy routine because she cracked a joke about the sexual assault allegations that he was facing with his wife, Tiny.  Andrew "Drew" Taggart of The Chainsmokers recently experienced the wrath of T.I. when jokingly kissed the three-time Grammy award-winning on the cheek. The gesture was no laughing matter to T.I. as he quickly responded by decking his friend right in the face. The act was so unexpected and humorous to Taggart that he just had to share the memory with his followers on TikTok.

"T.I. just literally punched me in the face," the recording artist said as he laughed on camera. "We were on a vibe, and I gave him a kiss on the cheek; it was totally my fault. And he was like, 'don't do that,' and I was like, 'Okay.'

The video clip soon went viral, which prompted a response from T.I. to his followers on Instagram.

"First of all, I love The Chainsmokers, so let's just get that straight," laughed the rapper. "I have nothing negative to say, we just have to work through some stuff, and we worked through it, and we're in a much better place. I have nothing but good things to say about them...I don't really want to go into details, but I love The Chainsmokers. I think the most important thing to take away is afterwards we had a drink, and we moved on...."

Later in the IG post, T.I. then went on to invite The Chainsmokers on his podcast. So it appears as though everyone is still on good terms in the wake of the kiss and punch.
