In this clip, DJ Akademiks spoke about Desus and Mero’s show coming to an end on Showtime, which led to Vlad speaking about how they have to start all over again after their Showtime show was canceled. Akademiks then reacted to Desus and Mero dissing him, and Ak pointed out that Vlad is bringing in more viewers than a television show. He explained that there’s a “worker mentality” with some people in the industry, who Akademiks says don’t look at themselves as a brand, and they chase the paycheck. DJ Akademiks then explained why he thinks Desus and Mero didn’t work out, and he also stated that he’s happy it's not the platform for making people automatically famous anymore.
