Tyrese previously made waves after addressing his ex-girlfriend, saying 43-year-olds shouldn’t date 25-year-olds. The two were seemingly happy together, but things took a turn, and the actor ended up calling the woman a “snake.” Since then, Tyrese has been dealing with another split, as the ‘Fast and Furious’ star is going through the divorce process.
Recently, Tyrese made an appearance in court for a divorce hearing against his ex-wife Samantha Lee. During the hearing, Gibson noted he did not want to pay Lee any spousal support. Court documents also stated the prenuptial agreement between the former couple be enforced and that he gets joint legal and physical custody of Soraya Gibson, the former couple’s three-year-old daughter.
During the hearing this past Monday, lawyers for Tyrese said the $20,000/month child support request was “unreasonably high.” Also, they noted the singer is looking to keep his 2016 Range Rover while his ex-wife retains the 2017 Land Rover Discovery they once shared. Previously in 2020, Lee claimed Tyrese locked her out of their house, which he has denied. Despite the accusation, Tyrese says he and Lee will “remain the best of friends” and be “strong co-parents.”
