It seems like just yesterday when Kanye West introduced the world to a young rapper from Cleveland, Ohio, named Kid Cudi. Shortly after signing to G.O.O.D. Music, Kid Cudi released his debut album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day. The LP could go on to earn Kid Cudi critical acclaim and a double platinum plaque for his efforts. In the decade and a half that followed, Kid Cudi and Kanye West would collaborate on a series of hit records such as "Welcome to Heartbreak," "All Of The Lights," and "Erase Me." But in recent years, their relationship has soured to the point where Kid Cudi famously declared, "[Kanye] is not my friend," and that reconciliation was very unlikely.
About two weeks ago, in an interview with Esquire, Kid Cudi stated that "West used his power to f*ck with me." West has been accused of using his power in the entertainment industry to take swipes at other celebrities, such as Pete Davison and BFB Da Packman. It looks like he has struck again. The New York Times recently published a headline that read, “Kasper Rørsted Also Dead at 60," in big, bold print. Near the bottom of the page, in small fine print, a text read, “I know what you’re thinking...who is Kasper? but even less importantly who is Kid Cudi?” There is no word on whether or not West somehow played a role in that message, but the 22-time Grammy Award winner did not hesitate to repost the image on his Instagram page for the world to see, along with a caption that read, "God Loves Us."
