Update 09/05/2022 12:28pm:

Nick Young recently revealed to Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix that D'Angelo Russell is his top former teammate who he'd love to box.

Russell and Young's back-and-forth pranks got out of hand when Russell was accused of uploading a video of Young admitting to cheating on then-fiancée Iggy Azalea in 2016. At the time, Russell was reportedly ostracized by his fellow Lakers teammates, and he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets the following season.

Russell has now responded to Nick on Twitter, writing, "My name keep dude relevant, and I'm going to grave with 'I ain't do that sh*t' #CarryOn."

Nick Young recently sat down with Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix, who asked which one of his former teammates he'd like to square up with in the boxing ring. It didn't take Young long to respond, "D’Angelo," with Mannix reacting, stating, "Yeah, that was an easy one. I think everyone was waiting for that one."

Although Nick admitted that he would like to box "some guys on the Warriors...some guys on the Lakers...a couple coaches," he has held a grudge against D'Angelo ever since he posted a video of Young admitting to cheating on then-fiancée Iggy Azalea in 2016. Russell was ostracized by the rest of his Lakers teammates following the incident, which one source described as a "prank gone wrong." The following season, Russell was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, and he spent the next season with the Warriors in 2017-2018.
