Hassan Johnson and Dan Perlman came through for their first-ever VladTV interview, where they spoke about their hit SHOWTIME series “Flatbush Misdemeanors.” Dan started off detailing his time growing up in Manhattan, doing stand-up, and creating the web series “Moderately Funny” before creating his current show. Dan then revealed that he and Kevin Iso created a pilot for “Flatbush Misdemeanors,” which he said didn’t get much traction at first. Dan went on to reveal that he created a pilot for FOX that didn’t get green-lit, and he went on to speak about filming “Flatbush Misdemeanors” on his own and putting it out online as a 15-minute short. From there, Dan detailed how SHOWTIME picked up the show, and Hassan explained how he got involved with the show, which he pointed out was difficult amid the pandemic. Hassan then discussed his character, Drew, being the villain of the show, and Dan also detailed why he made his character in the show.
