In 2021, 21 Savage turned himself in to police in relation to his 2019 ICE case. In 2019, the rapper was taken into custody by ICE over a 2014 conviction for felony drug charges. Now, 21 has recently asked a judge to throw out evidence against him in the case.

Legal documents found 21 Savage’s legal team filing a motion to stop prosecutors from using any evidence collected after the rapper was stopped. They claim 21 didn’t do anything wrong to warrant the stop, saying it was an unlawful stop.

Lawyers for the rapper spoke on the firearm found in the vehicle and said: “there was no illegality for the weapon to be in the car.” Currently, 21 is facing deportation back to the UK if convicted on drug and gun possession charges.
