The death of PNB Rock has led to polarizing reactions across the rap community. While many have chosen to focus on the possible role social media played in the deadly robbery, others have used the Philly rapper's death to bring attention to the street dynamics in Los Angeles. West coast legend Ice-T joined the latter group by tweeting about LA gang culture.

"I'm done explaining LA Gang culture... MFs will not listen. It's not a game.. At all," Ice-T wrote shortly after PNB Rock's death.

The icon's decision to voice his frustration seemed to have elicited responses from other Twitter users because Ice-T returned to the platform the following day to point out similarities between many of LA's most notable rap acts.

"People are still hitting me up about my comments about LA Gang culture," he added. "If you NOTICE, LA rappers don't wear a lotta Jewelry... Me, Snoop, Cube, Dre, Game, Kendrick..The list goes on.. It's not cause we're broke. LA is just a Dangerous place, rapper or not. Why test the streets."

When one Twitter user responded by posting a photo of The Game wearing gold chains, Ice-T responded by writing, "Thats on certain occasions when you're ready for whatever... I have Big Jewelry too... But you don't wake up EVERYDAY and put it on to go down the block.. As I said before... Challenge the hood, somebody's gonna catch that Fade."

Ice-T also highlighted how a chain played a large role in the death of 2Pac. To view that tweet, as well as the rest of the aforementioned posts, scroll above.
