In this clip, Gilbert Arenas shares his thoughts on professional athletes of today and their openness about their struggles with mental health. The former NBA star declares that mental health issues would have been considered a weakness during his playing career in the early 2000s. He then cites players like Kevin Garnett as someone who would have fed off of an opponent's mental health after stating that MJ, Kobe, and LeBron didn't give in to the pressures of mental health. From there, he refers back to 2020 when the Clippers blew a 3-1 lead to the Denver Nuggets in the bubble. He said that he could sense that the Clippers were in trouble when Patrick Beverly and Paul George admitted that they didn't want to play in the bubble. As the conversation continues, DJ Vlad brings up Simone Biles and the way in which she was praised for backing out of the Olympic competition due to problems related to mental health. To that, Gilbert Arenas said that she was lauded for her revelation because it made her appear more "human" in the public eye.
