Update 09/16/2022 12:48pm:
Cardi B pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges related to a 2018 strip club fight in Queens, New York. The rapper was accused of ordering an attack on two bartenders at the strip club, as it was alleged that one of the women slept with her husband, Offset. The reports claim the rapper pleaded guilty to 3rd-degree assault and reckless endangerment, which are both misdemeanors. As result, she received 15 days of community service, and the rapper won’t be facing jail time.
The plea deal came right as jury selection was on the verge of being started. If jury selection went down on Friday, the trial for her case would have started the following Monday. The plea deal also includes an order of protection that says Cardi has to stay away from the women for three years.
The rapper spoke to TMZ about the matter, saying, “As a mother, it's a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I've made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to.”
