Before his passing, the late Nipsey Hussle revealed in interviews that he reached out to Diddy to help improve the sound of his ‘Victory Lap’ album, noting he wanted the sound to be reminiscent of elements that made Notorious B.I.G.’s albums sound prolific. Now, in a new interview with ‘The Cruz Show’ on Real 92.3, Diddy has revealed he served as an executive producer on the album who initially didn’t get credited on the album.
“People do not know this. Somebody tried to jerk me but I fixed it. I actually am one of the executive producers of Nipsey Hussle's last album,” said Diddy. He continued saying, “So a lot of people don't know this. We got them to change on Wikipedia. Somebody over at the label tried to leave my name out but he came to me and said, 'I want you to be a part of helping me finish up this album.'”
Diddy concluded by saying, “So I was a part of not just the record I was on with him on his last album. He was like 'Yo I'm a big fan of Life After Death. I know you got like that vibe and I'm bringing that vibe. My stuff has a west coast sound but it also has a Bad Boy sound, so I felt like Yo I really need you to come and help me out with this.” Watch above.
