Teen rapper C-Blu made headlines at the top of 2022 when he was charged for allegedly shooting an NYPD officer as a 16-year-old. Later in May, his charge was suddenly dropped. Now 17, C-Blu was arrested again on Tuesday for carrying a firearm.
C-Blu (real name Camrin Williams) was in the Bronx when he was allegedly busted with a loaded silver 9mm handgun. The latest legal trouble for the rapper has resulted in him facing multiple charges, including criminal weapons possession and obstruction of government administration.
The rapper's arrest is the most recent in a string of gun-related arrests. Prior to being accused of shooting a cop, C-Blu was out on probation for a prior gun case. In regards to the alleged shooting with the NYPD officer, the teen -- who's allegedly a member of the Crip subset Reywey Crew -- reportedly shot 27-year-old police officer Kaseem Pennant in the leg during a struggle after he refused to take his hands out of his pockets.
Despite his attempted murder charge, C-Blu's case was abruptly dropped after the judge ruled there was no cause for police to search Williams before the alleged shooting. C-Blu was also arrested at 14 for possessing a firearm.
As of Wednesday, C-Blu is awaiting arraignment.
