Rappers have been outspoken following the death of PnB Rock, who was fatally gunned down in Inglewood, California on Monday (September 12).
In light of the tragic news, it was revealed that PnB Rock's girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang, who is also the mother of his child, shared their location at Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. Kodak Black blamed Sibounheuang for alerting the gunman to PnB Rock's whereabouts, leading to the incident.
Cardi B defended Sibounheuang on Twitter, as she stated that PnB Rock was in a bad neighborhood, and she added that it's unfair to blame the situation on his girlfriend. She tweeted, "I highly doubt n****s was looking at [PnB’s] babymom IG. He was in a bad location and people stay outside plotting. It’s very irresponsible and inconsiderate to blame her for something so tragic. We should be sending nothing but love to her and his family at this time."
Nicki Minaj seemed to think otherwise, as she wrote, "After Pop Smoke there’s no way we as rappers or our loved ones are still posting locations to our whereabouts. To show waffles & some fried chicken????! He was such a pleasure to work with. Condolences to his mom & family. This makes me feel so sick. Jesus."
Nicki added, "It’s never the wrong time! If it saves ONE YOUNG RAPPER!!!! JUST ONE!!!!! THEN WE’VE DONE OUR JOBS!!!!! I spoke on losing our own @ the VMAS!!!! Enough is enough!!!! MY GOD. IDGAF about no f*ng hate tweets!!!! Go f**k y’all dumb f*ng selves!!!!!"
