Court documents are revealing more information surrounding the tragic death of rapper PnB Rock, who was shot while eating with his girlfriend at Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles in South Los Angeles on September 12.
Authorities are reportedly seeking a fourth suspect in the incident, as they believe this person tipped off the shooter about PnB Rock's location. Freddie Lee Trone, his 17-year-old son, and Trone's wife, Shauntel Trone, have all been named as suspects in the incident.
The court documents mention an unidentified person, who prosecutors say watched PnB Rock and his girlfriend arrive to Roscoe's while wearing expensive jewelry. The unnamed person reportedly waited outside of the restaurant until Freddie Trone arrived. Once at the restaurant, Trone and the unidentified man had a conversation, Trone left, and he arrived a short time later with his 17-year-old son.
Prosecutors say Trone's teenage son was armed, and he entered the restaurant, where he demanded PnB Rock hand over his jewelry. Before leaving the restaurant, prosecutors say the teen shot PnB Rock in the chest, and once he was on the ground, he was shot twice more in the back. The teen is also accused of robbing PnB Rock's girlfriend of all of her jewelry, and then taking off the jewelry and rings that the rapper was wearing. Freddie Lee Trone then reportedly picked up his son, and before going home, Trone's teenage son got rid of his shoes and shirt.
Trone's teenage son, who likely won't be identified due to his age, was charged with one count each of murder and conspiracy to commit robbery. The teen, who was out on probation at the time of the incident, is also facing two counts of second-degree robbery. Freddie Lee Trone was charged with one count of murder and conspiracy to commit robbery and two counts of second-degree robbery. Shantel Trone was charged with one count of accessory after the fact, which she pleaded not guilty to during an arraignment on Thursday (September 29) in Compton.
