A 22-year-old woman from Colorado Springs named Lauren Dooley has been arrested and charged with second-degree kidnapping and assault, as well as menacing and false imprisonment. The backstory for this case resembles that of a horror story where her victim was extremely lucky to survive.
On the night of Wednesday, September 28th, a 21-year-old male showed up at Lauren Dooley's apartment in Colorado Springs (CO) after the two exchanged a series of messages on the Tinder dating app. Shortly after Dooley's guest entered the confines of her living room, they talked briefly before she removed his clothes and performed oral sex on him. She then propositioned the man with the kinky idea of having his hands and ankles duct tapped as a form of adventurous foreplay. He reluctantly agreed, and that is when the hellacious incident slowly began to unfold. Dooley whipped out a kitchen knife and motioned for her guest to walk to her bedroom. Out of fear for his life, the 21-year-old male complied; by then, he was no longer a willing participant; he was Dooley's captor. After forcing her victim onto the bed, Dooley climbed on top of him and sliced him open with her kitchen knife before strangling him with a belt. As the night when on, Dooley worked up an appetite. So, with the victim's blood all over her upper body, she ordered herself some takeout in the most peculiar way imaginable.
“Lauren began to become upset that [victim] was bleeding all over her bed, so she told him to get in the bathtub, which he complied with,” the Colorado Springs Police Department wrote. “Lauren then ordered some food from DoorDash. When the delivery person arrived, Lauren told [the victim], ‘if you scream or say anything, I’ll kill you.’”
After Dooley ate, she forced her victim back into bed, where he waited for her to fall asleep so that he could attempt a daring escape. Eventually, Dooley fell into a deep slumber, and the victim grabbed her knife, which she mistakenly left right by his duct-tapped feet. The victim then freed himself and tippy-toed his way out of the apartment before bumping into a table and waking Dooley up. This prompted the victim to sprint out of the apartment in order to escape Dooley's presence. He then ran out into the parking lot and called the police. When law enforcement arrived, they recovered the aforementioned kitchen knife, and Dooley's blood-soaked sheets and they discovered the bloody bathtub where the victim was forced to lay while the assailant ate her dinner. Dooley (22) was taken into custody shortly thereafter.
