In this clip, former NBA champion Matt Barnes shares his thoughts on Kyrie Irving and his complicated stint with the Brooklyn Nets. The basketball player-turned-NBA analyst states that he respects Kyrie's individuality and on-court ability, but he hasn't given any of his teams in Brooklyn (especially the one with Durant & Harden) the chance to reach their full potential because he hasn't been playing. From there, he states his belief that if Kyrie plays this year, he'll get the max contract he deserves. This prompts DJ Vlad to ask Matt if he could ever imagine a scenario where Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant willingly missed time on the court because they didn't want to get vaccinated. In response, Matt says no and explains why.
