Trick Daddy recently appeared at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards and revealed some unique information about his hit song “Let’s Go.”

The song, which features appearances from Twista and Lil Jon, samples Ozzy Osbourne’s 1980 single “Crazy Train.” When asked about the song’s sample, Trick said, “When I heard that the original owner of the song loved the fact that I wanted to redo a sample of his beat, and it wasn’t gonna take that much? I was ready to do that.” The Florida rapper then spoke about what he had to pay to get the sample cleared, noting it wasn’t much at all.

“Of course, I gave him his share. But as far as upfront money, it was pennies,” said Trick. He then talked about the legacy of that song, along with others, saying, “That [song] and ‘Take It To The House,’ they gonna play them forever for y’all. And when you get a song that lasts forever, that makes you legendary.” Watch above.
