Former NBA star Ben Gordon was arrested at New York's LaGuardia Airport on Monday (October 10) after allegedly hitting his 10-year-old son while they were waiting on a flight to Chicago.

According to the New York Post, Gordon was handcuffed by Port Authority officers around 8:45 pm EST after someone witnessed the alleged abuse. Gordon's son was picked up by his aunt, who took him to Long Island Jewish Children’s Hospital for evaluation.

Gordon, who won the Sixth Man of the Year award as a rookie, has been arrested multiple times since leaving the league, including in 2017 for an alleged assault and robbery. Gordon was also arrested the same year for driving with a forged license plate and setting off fire alarms at his apartment complex.

Gordon was processed at the Port Authority police station house, and charges are pending.
